Additionally, she is an active supporter of numerous charities that assist those whom cannot afford exams. Dr. Hogle-Fowler was quoted as saying, “Preventative eye care is essential, regardless of your financial status. Each person deserves to be treated with respect and equality and receive these services. I firmly believe that it is our moral obligation to help those less fortunate than ourselves.”
In May 2008, Dr. Hogle-Fowler achieved her dream by opening her own practice. Advanced Vision Center started with one staff member in a 1,200 sq ft building. Dr. Hogle-Fowler learned early on that the patient experience coupled with a unique atmosphere is what would set her apart. Adhering to these values, Advanced Vision Care Center grew rapidly. Dr. Hogle-Fowler built and opened a new 4,600 sq ft building on the same property while adding an additional 6 employees. The new facility features a 1,800 sq ft optical area, 5 exam rooms, contact lens fitting room, and a specialty testing room where retinal imaging services are performed.
